The purpose of the NSERC Collaborative Research and Training Experience Program in Medical Image Analysis (CREATE-MIA), industrial stream, is to help new researchers transition into the workforce. It gives its trainees opportunities to acquire professional skills and on-the-job experience in industry while participating in leading-edge research in an area considered to be of top priority for Canada's future.

  • on-site internships with our industrial partners to give first-hand real-world industry experience
  • the opportunity to broaden knowledge of medical imaging by attending seminars from leading researchers
  • a diverse set of talks and workshops intended to help develop professional and technical skills which usually fall outside the scope of academic programs
  • the opportunity to build professional networks
